Anchoring High-Quality Development: How GEEKTEST Builds Differentiated Competitive Barriers in Lithium Battery Equipment
The new energy battery industry is undergoing a profound transformation from "high-speed growth" to "high-quality development". In this race centered on efficiency, safety and cost, testing equipment, as the "yardstick" for controlling production yield and industry standards, is gaining increasingly prominent strategic value.

On the morning of July 2, Yu Qingjiao, Chairman of Zhongguancun New Battery Technology Innovation Alliance and China Battery 100, led a delegation to visit Shenzhen GEEKTEST Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GEEKTEST). They held discussions with Wang Guoqing, Vice President of Marketing, and other relevant leaders, and conducted an on-site inspection of the production plant. Against the backdrop of a sustained recovery in the lithium battery industry, the delegation gained an in-depth understanding of how this national high-tech enterprise and specialized, sophisticated and innovative SME has carved out a differentiated breakthrough path relying on its full-stack delivery capability of "testing + automation".

Full-Stack Technology Breaks Through Industry Involution
With years of deep engagement in the new energy industry, GEEKTEST focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of testing equipment and automated production lines for the sector. It boasts rich expertise in embedded systems, intelligent monitoring systems, fully digital power system design, bidirectional energy feedback, mechanical automation control systems and other technologies. Its products are widely applied in the production and testing of battery cells, battery packs and automotive electronics across the new energy industry.
Since its founding, GEEKTEST has anchored itself to the testing and automation demands of the new energy industrial chain. After years of dedicated development, the company has achieved systematic delivery results across four business segments — battery testing, automotive electronics, intelligent manufacturing and new energy after-sales service — laying a solid business foundation.

According to Wang Guoqing, in the battery testing segment, GEEKTEST has built a full-tier product matrix covering cylindrical, pouch and prismatic cells (including solid-state batteries), as well as modules, packs and battery clusters, supporting full-scenario applications such as charge-discharge performance testing and end-of-line (EOL) testing. Its core equipment supports an ultra-wide voltage range of 0–2000V, delivers a measurement accuracy of 0.01% FS, and achieves an energy feedback efficiency of ≥99%.
In the automotive electronics segment, GEEKTEST provides solutions including automotive electronic testing systems, automotive electronic aging testing systems and assembly production lines. These cover mass-production testing for core components such as major and minor three-electric systems and domain control systems, and are compatible with the production line takt time of automakers and Tier 1 suppliers.
In the intelligent manufacturing segment, GEEKTEST is capable of delivering complete lines for cell formation and grading, automated module/pack assembly, and energy storage container assembly, while also providing turnkey solutions for unmanned battery laboratories.
In the new energy after-sales service segment, GEEKTEST has launched portable and mobile testing equipment suitable for battery swapping stations, after-sales outlets and energy storage operation and maintenance scenarios, supporting backend O&M and testing needs throughout the full battery lifecycle.
Guided by the development philosophy that customers ultimately choose "solutions that deliver the greatest value", the company has filed over 100 national patents to date, obtained multiple system certifications such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and its core products have also earned EU CE certification.
More Than Equipment Expertise — Deep Understanding of Application Scenarios
With strong technical strength and reliable product quality, GEEKTEST has won authoritative recognition from both domestic and overseas parties. Its core "soft power", however, stems from its core team with backgrounds spanning new energy automakers, leading battery manufacturers and authoritative testing institutions at home and abroad. This cross-track composite background has built the company's three core barriers: deep understanding of end-market demands, manufacturing processes and standard compliance.

Against the backdrop of industry transformations including higher-voltage power batteries, larger-format energy storage cells, standardized full battery lifecycle management and accelerated iteration of sodium battery technology, battery testing technology — as a core support for industrial safety, quality upgrading and cost optimization — is facing new extreme scenario challenges. Relying on its cross-border composite core team, GEEKTEST deepens its presence in new energy battery testing, and leverages its core technical strengths in implementability, adaptability and forward-looking design to fully align with industry upgrading needs, laying a solid testing foundation for the high-quality development of the industry.
- Equipped with an ultra-wide voltage testing system of 0–2000V, covering existing 400V and 800V platforms and adapting to future high-voltage iterations;
- Maintains ultra-high measurement accuracy of 0.01% FS under high-voltage and high-current conditions, capturing subtle battery performance changes to support extreme operating condition verification and safety calibration of complete vehicles;
- Equipped with multiple safety protections for insulation withstand, short circuit and over-temperature, and can work in conjunction with environmental chambers and BMS to realize collaborative testing across full temperature ranges and all operating conditions;
Reduces power consumption and heat dissipation costs in mass production testing with ≥99% high energy feedback efficiency, aligning with green manufacturing development goals.
Looking at the long-term development of the industry, sodium-ion batteries — as the next-generation energy storage and power technology direction — have given rise to new testing demands and technical challenges due to their unique electrochemical properties. Accuracy requirements under low-voltage platforms, in-situ detection needs for sodium plating, swelling and gassing, and the lack of unified industry standards all pose new challenges to testing equipment. To address these, GEEKTEST adheres to a technology-first and forward-looking layout strategy, and has completed the layout of a sodium battery testing technology system in advance to seize first-mover advantage in the next-generation battery testing track.
From Wang Guoqing's perspective, the next 5 to 10 years will see a large wave of battery decommissioning. Coupled with policy supervision and industry standardization, the battery testing track will embrace long-term and sustained incremental dividends with broad development prospects.
Beyond Selling Single Equipment
While continuously upgrading its technologies and solutions, GEEKTEST is also improving its market service system and building a global service network to facilitate efficient solution delivery. Currently, the company's service network covers 15 cities across 7 countries. Domestically, it covers industrial clusters in South China, East China, Central China and Southwest China. Overseas, it has set up service stations in Europe, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, focusing on core markets including Germany, France, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and South Korea, forming a sound service pattern with multi-point linkage across Europe, America, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia and coordinated development at home and abroad.
According to Wang Guoqing, GEEKTEST will focus on three key directions for overseas expansion in the next three years:
First, the European market. Europe has clear new energy and energy storage policies, a large market space, and high requirements for equipment quality and compliance, which matches the company's technical positioning. The company's products have already obtained EU CE certification, and it will continue to improve localized services and channel layout in the future.
Second, the Southeast Asian market. With the global transfer of battery production capacity to Southeast Asia, local demand for battery testing and automated production lines is growing rapidly. The company has established a customer base in markets such as Thailand, and will deepen its layout in the ASEAN region to capture the dividends of production capacity transfer.
Third, the Northeast Asian markets of Japan and South Korea. As core regions for high-end manufacturing of global lithium batteries and new energy, Japan and South Korea have stringent requirements for product compliance, testing accuracy and automated production. GEEKTEST will continue to make efforts in this region, adapt to local strict requirements in a targeted manner, and gradually establish localized channels and technical service support.
